3 weeks tomorrow

Nash will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe it! Time flys! It has been crazy around the Weaver household. We are trying to adjust....

Jon Harris has had strep and now it has turned into a staph infection. How? I have no idea! We are on our third round of meds. He is going to have his tonsils and adenoids taken out this spring. Thank goodness! JH is also about to start playing basketball for Faith Baptist. He is so excited! I have heard wonderful things about their basketball program. I can't wait to see him out there playing!

Nash is growing so fast. He is still in preemie clothes- I am hoping to be out of them soon. He has so many cute things to wear but right now they are WAY to big. Nash (I think) is colicky. Bless his heart, we are hoping that it will not last long. We also just switched to formula. I tried nursing for 2 weeks..... it was causing me some major baby blues! There is so much pressure now days on moms to nurse. It is an awesome thing- don't get me wrong- but it was not meeting our needs as a family. I felt so guilty when I stopped but I have learned that it is not for everyone.

We have been so blessed by our church family and friends. Since Nash has been home, we have not had to make a single meal. I have been so humbled..... God has truely blessed us! The people in our church are so incredible. They have taught me so much but the most important thing they have taught me is what it means to "serve" God and his people. - We love you guys! I am so proud to be in a church family where I know my children will grow in Christ and also learn what it means to be a "Servant."

  1. He is so beautiful! Make me want another one:) I have come to the conclusion that if mommy is not happy...no one is! You made the right choice, do what is right for your family. I know the pain of a colicky baby( do tons of tummy time and gripe water worked for us but you know every baby if different), I hope this passes soon. Good luck and best wishes!

  2. He is just precious - can't wait to see him! Mom said he looks just like a little baby doll! Did you deliver at Baptist or Methodist? From experience, Methodist doesn't have the "breast is best" posters plastered all over the walls. :-) Seriously, I know adding #2 is a huge adjustment - hang on and know that all that fussiness won't last forever. My sweet Coco cried for the first 6 months of her life. Now the cry has been traded in for a whine! Hee hee!
